Comic presented as a final project in the university: A 14 pages comic about the life of Vincent Van Gogh. It is narrated through his own letters to his brother Theo (this is why you see many black spaces here), and also with the posterior thoughts about Van Gogh written back in 1947 by Antonin Artaud (extra points to anyone who know this guy ) Both texts combined give an interesting combination of points of view about the painter.
I tried to use some of the characteristics of Van Gogh's painting in the graphic style of the comic, I hope you manage to recognize it (but I wasn't trying to imitate his style: trying to imitate Van Gogh would have been too much for me, like a lack of respect to his memory ).
By the way, I did this comic in a period of 14 days: That is, 14 pages in color, DIN A3 sized, and the whole text of the pages (that was pretty much text ), in 14 days: More than 1 page per day, yeah. So some things are a bit rushed, I know that. I'd have like to spend more time with it (specially in some of the narrative stuff), but deadlines were just too tight. Anyway, I still quite like what it came out.
Here you have one panel of page 7, possibly the biggest one in the comic.
